Privacy Policy

This web site is owned and operated by Advancing Ideas LLC. Here are the main points of our privacy policy…

  • We hate spam too! Advancing Ideas LLC does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

  • When you want us to send you an email newsletter, email course or when you would like to purchase something, we collect information from you.

We can’t send you anything by mail or email without knowing who to send it to or where to send it. Every email communication of this type that you receive from us, will have a working method for you to opt out of future communications if you want to.

  • If you buy something from us, we gather information such as your physical address, phone number, email address etc.

We need to have that information or we wouldn’t ask for it. Credit card processors (for instance) require information to confirm your identity. That is for your protection. Your email address provides us a way to send you a receipt or to communicate with you should we have a question about your order. Your phone number provides an alternate means of communication should we have a question about the order.

  • On line transactions are handled securely via SSL (secure socket layer), the best security and encryption software.

  • We only collect personal information with your permission.

If you wish to subscribe to one of our Newsletters/Information Requests/Mini Courses, we ask for contact information such as first name and email address. All email responses to these requests will include clear instructions for “opting out.” All such requests will be honored.

This web site may offer you the opportunity to receive information from other organizations related to the subject of this web site. In that case, the sign up will clearly indicate that you will be receiving information from another organization. An example might be “Click here to receive information  from Company XYZ.” In that case Company XYZ’s privacy policy will be in effect as well as ours.

Advancing Ideas LLC uses cookies for aggregate purposes – not for the collection of personal data. Advancing Ideas LLC may use Log Files and IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Links:

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Advancing Ideas LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.

Referral Program:

Advancing Ideas LLC may ask a user to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site. In this process we ask them for the friend’s name and email address. Advancing Ideas LLC will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site. Advancing Ideas LLC stores this information briefly for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. The friend will be informed that no further emails will be sent and no records kept of the contact information unless the friend actively responds to the offer.

Security:

This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. Currently, all payments for Advancing Ideas LLC are being handled by outside credit card processing companies.  Advancing Ideas LLC will only use third party credit card processors who use SSL – the best encryption software in the industry. You will know you’re on an SSL protected page when the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’. While our credit card processor uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure office, with no public access.

Fraud:

When a person uses fraudulent or stolen credit card numbers, bounces checks or refuses to pay for merchandise already received, Advancing Ideas LLC reserves the right to release all details of the transaction to the appropriate law enforcement agency, credit bureaus, the United States Postal Service and others. Multiple efforts will be made to resolve the situation before it gets to that point.

Abuse:

When a person uses foul language, insults, or accusations, Advancing Ideas LLC reserves the right to release all details, including contact information to Internet Service Providers, email providers and others.

Privacy Policy Changes:

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page. All information collected before the changes will be subject to the original privacy policy. Advancing Ideas LLC is the sole owner of information collected at this web site.
